CLUB (Motto) “One for all, all for one”
Formed in 1993 first as North York Netball Association founded by Grace Noel, Amorel Adams and Marva Johnson. Grace Noel, our first President spare headed the Association with her leadership skills with the assistance of Amorel Adams and Marva Johnson. We ran a very successful summer league over the years, until Associations was no longer recognized by the governing body in 1998. Our name was changed to North York Netball Club which consisted of the following clubs: Island Girls, Striper’s, Grenada Progressive and Unity Sports Club.
We do have many of our founders and original members still very actively involved in playing, coaching, umpiring and assisting with administration work in the club, of whom we greatly appreciate and value their dedication towards the sport.
We do have a youth team, ages 8 to 18, playing netball called “Crescent Town Rebels” founded and coached by Marva Johnson since 1994. They train every Thursday 5:00 – 6:30 pm. at the Crescent Town Club. Many of these players move into the adult group once they are fully developed and ready for competition.
New members are always welcome and we are willing to teach, nurture and enhance your skills in the sport of netball come join us and have lots of fun. We are a highly competitive team we have won several championships.
